Saving Piku is the second book in the Dealing with Feeling series, which aims to help young children recognise and manage big feelings, both in themselves and others, this time focusing on the power of sticking together in the face of fear. In the story, Pal is teaching Piku how to sing one Tuesday morning when the Beast suddenly shows up. Fear quickly spreads through the colony and the dads do everything they can to protect their little ones. Will they be able to keep them safe?
Published by New Frontier, featuring lots of hilarious, expressive illustrated animals by Craig Shuttlewood, Saving Piku offers another great starting point for talking to children about empathy.
